Nobody wants to be constantly disturbed by door-to-door solicitors. Our homes should be a safe haven, but companies drop salespeople in our neighborhood to knock on every door. These companies seem do not filter their sellers for criminal records and in some cases the entire crew consisted of people who are undergoing a kind of "rehabilitation." Also, it is not uncommon for thieves to claim as door-to-door solicitors to get the opportunity to commit a crime.

Many people put up "No Soliciting" sign and then are disappointed to see many sellers ignore these signs and knocked on the door or rang the bell of the house. This is not surprising, given the literacy level of door-to-door solicitors.

Sellers who knows the meaning of the sign and chose to ignore the sign have no respect or consideration for others. They usually will grin at you and tell you that they have sold a lot of whatever they areselling to people who do not have no soliciting signs on their door.

For a busy office, the entry door-to-door salesman can be really disturbing. If you're doing something important and do not want to be disturbed by the uninvited solicitors, you can put a "No soliciting" sign outside your door. "No soliciting" sign could be a clear notice to inform the situation you are facing and what you want. This sign is not something that is not polite or rude. Conversely, this sign will be very helpful for professional salespeople, because they do not have to waste their precious time to approach the prospects that are not ready.
